The abandoned Baltimore Boulevard on Assateague National Seashore, Maryland. The road was build in the 50s from Ocean City for miles south as part of a planned resort of more than 5,000 homes. But the Ash Wednesday storm of 1962 halted development. The park service took over the island in 1965; the policy of the park service is to let nature take its course.
