From Tragedy to Light: The Alexia at 30

The book looks at the 30-year archive of The Alexia Foundation awards.

Photoville 2019.

The exhibit started with the edit from the book and expanded to create an event with more than 100 images—something to experience.

I loved watching viewers react to the exhibit—where they stopped, what drew them in, what they walked by. There were 109 images in the grids spanning the long sides of the container. Many images were in the book, but many came from a wider edit of the award archive. The right panel mostly came from the book chapters Women in Peril and Broken Societies. Topics on the left concentrated on the environment, hate, and understanding.
